This wine begins with a deep garnet hue leading immediately to sensations of blackberry, ripe black cherry and herbs de Provence; followed by plush maraschino cherries, lifted barrel vanillin and a wide array of black fruit aromatics. The 2006 Blend 25 (62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Syrah) is similar in style to the 2005, despite the differences in these two vintages. (This winery seems to achieve sweet tannins no matter the vintage conditions.) It offers copious quantities of fresh, lively, blackberry and black currant fruit intermixed with notions of bouquet garni, and earth. Enjoy this beauty over the next 5-6 years.
