Robert Mondavi Merlot is the star of the vintage. The fruit was late to ripen, but produced a big, full, rich wine with dark color, aromas of dark cherry, ripe plum, milk chocolate, and roasted coffee. This Merlot has a full mouthfeel with flavors of cherry pie, plum jam, mocha coffee, and oak layered over the top. Very ripe tannin for a long, silky finish. In crafting this wine, we chose exceptional Central Coast grapes, primarily from Monterey County, a region that provides the temperate climate, and moist alluvial soils that Merlot loves. Enjoy this wine with barbecued chicken, spaghetti bolognese, wild mushroom risotto, or a perfectly grilled burger.

An opaque, crimson red color coats the glass. Vibrant and concentrated aromas of tobacco and cedar intertwine with plum and boysenberry. Medium to full bodied, the wine shows elegance and structure as it spreads across the palate, subtle tannins round out the texture. Clean finish with hints of red berry fruit.

Sean Minor Napa Valley Red Wine is deep ruby in color and displays aromas of ripe blueberry, dark cherry, cassis and vanilla. On the palate, flavors of blueberries and dark cherry combined with hints of oak spices that coat the palate. The soft tannins and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering.

Spring Valley this tenth vintage of Uriah is one of the best expressions of our unique Spring Valley terroir. The nose is extremely refined and complex with scents of bright currant, clove, licorice, wheat, cigar box, almond paste, and orange extract. The palate is rich with bright acid and ripe cherry flavors, and polished tannins linger on a very long finish rich with notes of roasted coffee.

Merlot is a benchmark varietal for Sterling and this deeply colored version displays aromas of black cherry, raspberry, toasty oak, nutmeg, and cloves. Luscious flavors of blackberries, cherries, cocoa, cedar, and vanilla lead to a full, smooth-textured finish.

The complex aromas of ripe fruit and spicy oak are enticing, On the palate, rich black fruits are front and center with nice touches of cherry and dark chocolate continuing through the silky finish.

This merlot has a full body and can be enjoyed on the rocks or can be chilled, once you taste it you will never go back to those old world merlots.

Tamber Bey our 100% Merlot from the Yountville Appellation Deux Chevaux Vineyard represents a fruit-driven wine with aromas of black cherry, black stone fruit, turmeric, light kirsch notes and granite. The mouth feel is masculine for a Merlot. Flavors of cherry and cherry pit evolving with time into cassis are mixed with a bit of cola and quinine. The finish delivers dark chocolate powder, graphite and sweet oak notes. Overall, this is a lush, seamless wine that will continue to improve with age.

We knew that Merlot, unlike Cabernet Sauvignon, was supposed to be a supple, sexy and elegant red wine and not a big, tannic bomb.
