This wine has lots of upfront fruit while having a soft round structure and a slight hint of oak. The aromas and flavours show fresh berries, plums and vanilla. The palate is rich and plush with good structure. The soft velvety tannins provide balance and length. This wine can be enjoyed now, but will also improve with short term cellaring.

Burgundy wines, are wines that originate from the Burgundy region in France, have long been prized for their hearty character and flavor. Peter Vella Burgundy, made in the style of these wines, offers a similar taste experience, beginning with a medium body that segues smoothly into delicious hints of black cherry fruit. Burgundy is the wine I like to match up with grilled meats, especially lamb or pork tenderloin. It's also a natural with spicy, red pasta sauces or even a hearty soup, like Minestrone.

Petra ruby red colour. Immediately noticeable aroma of fruits and flowers, combined with a delicate trace of vegetables. Well-marked fragrant taste of marasca cherry and wild cherry, with a hint of dog-rose.

Sweet rosemary, licorice and red berries waft from the glass in Pio Cesare’s Barolo. This is a fairly approachable vintage for the estate’s Barolo. Firm, young Nebbiolo tannins frame the long finish. The aromas and flavors are somewhat forward, and I don’t see enough depth in the fruit to support long-term drinking, but this should provide plenty of enjoyment on the near and medium term. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2020.

A blend of only in Italy Schiava and Teroldego grapes, with a little Merlot thrown into the mix as well. It has a nose of garden spices like thyme and sage along with some red cherry. The taste is of cherry and darker red berries and the finish is very quick and rather fruity.

Post Chambourcin Dry Red Table Wine is luscious and inviting with clean caramel and vanilla notes, bing cherries and dark fruit aromas. Great with roasted meat dishes.

Quinta do Crasto deep ruby in colour with very ripe red fruit aromas. Very fruity on the palate, with good structure and light tannins which make it a very pleasant wine. This wine is made from traditional Douro red grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Franca. Unoaked, it is produced to be a fresh, fruity, easy-to-drink wine.

Intense aroma of young fresh fruit like cherry and blackberry. Dark in color, it also shows some spicy notes along with some wood. Well structured in the mouth it has excellent acidity and firm tannins. The final is long, seductive and complex. It's a wine that we can enjoy from now but it will also age a few years very well.

We experimented with different blends until the perfect one was created - a juicy, fruit-forward Shiraz with a bit of floral spice. Spicy floral notes carry through the fruit packed medium bodied palate with good acidity and softer tannins.
