A wine in perfect balance showing real finesse and class, firm and round tannins, great structure, medium body and a long and persistent finish.

    Meet the twins: a masterstroke of varietal blending from Chile's winemaking legend, Aurelio Montes. On their own, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon shine, but when paired up, these two classic varieties complement each other perfectly. It's a sensational double bill: wonderful richness, structure and fruit from the Cabernet, with smooth, velvety texture from the Malbec. These varieties add up to a wine that's greater than the sum of its parts, while the oak aging contributes with subtle notes of vanilla and liqueur, and its soft tannins provide an especially elegant finish.

  • Mount Eden Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML

    Mount Eden Vineyards Mount Eden Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a Bordeaux-style blend of approximately 75% Cabernet, 22% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, although the cepage varies by vintage. This high mountain, cool coastal vineyard is an unusual site for California Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting its refreshing acidity and moderate alcohol. Fine integrated tannins buttress characteristic flavors of red currant, blackberry and earth. Recommended cellaring is ten to fifteen years.

  • Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML

    Deep ruby with beautiful dark cassis and cherry mingle with spicy notes of anise, tobacco, and rosemary. Additional notes of sweet herbs, clove, vanilla, and toasted oak finish with a hint of cocoa. Blackberry, cocoa, and black peppercorn unite on the layered palate with complex notes of mocha, sage, and ripe cherry. Full yet elegant on the palate, with vibrant fruit and very approachable tannins. This wine has a long finish of rich cassis and berry.

    Mulderbosch with its deep, dark colour and seductive, spicy aromas, the FH is a fine example of the blended claret style of wine. Aromas of bold ripe blackberries, cinnamon spice and light touches of peppermint characterize the nose. The entry is full and round, building to a bold core which tapers off to a subtle, lengthy finish. Savoury flavours of graphite, forest floor and cured ham are well balanced by a lively red berry freshness.

  • Neyers Ranch Conn Valley Merlot 750ML

    Neyers the grapes from our home vineyard in Conn Valley are certified organic and farmed sustainably. It's thick, almost chewy in fact, and is deliciously soft. The aroma is of wild cherries and mint. We opened a bottle of 1997 Merlot at our Wine Club party last month and it showed brilliantly. Be sure to set a few bottles of this aside for some additional bottle age.

  • NxNW Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 750ML

    This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley opens with a faint black cherry bouquet with a hint of black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, friendly and easy going. The flavor profile is a gentle oak infused black cherry with notes of mild red currant. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its fairly moderate tannins linger slightly. I would pair this very food friendly wine with brown rice paella with shrimp.

The acidity and tannin structure promise a very long life ahead.

Aromas include cassis, lavender, fresh crushed sage, black olive and cedar. The generous and savory palate excites with black fig, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, and graphite. The wine finishes long and pure with an element of fine, damp black clay.
