Frank Family the expressive Carneros Chardonnay is fruit forward and balanced, delivering scents of pear, apple, butterscotch and pineapple, laced with delicate floral notes of honeysuckle. The attack is layered with succulent stone fruit flavors and buttery, toasted pastry dough. I really, really LOVE a good Chardonnay at a good price point. So, in comes the Gen 5! I really think this is one of the cleanest, purest, most poignant Chards I’ve had in a long while. It is focused and perky, with bright notes of kiwi, guava, pineapple, prickly pear and (now that its warmed up just a bit) a little hint of vanilla bean.

Expect a nose of peach and orange blossom over stone fruit and lemon zest, with a hint of vanilla. Fruit carries with layers of tangerine, toasted vanilla and tropical fruits. The palate is generally light with high acid and low oak influence. Long, fruit driven finish with a nice dollop of mineral. This expressive Riverstone Chardonnay has light golden hues with a tint of youthful green. Joel Gott the Monterey appellation is one of the most diverse and climatically cool grape growing regions in California. The fog and cooling air from Monterey Bay slow maturity and allow the grapes to develop classic varietal characteristics, and a natural balance between sugar and acidity by harvest time. This environment has produced a Chardonnay that has flavors of citrus, pear and jasmine with bright acid structure. To preserve these characteristics and retain the purity of the fruit we crafted this wine using stainless steel tanks for fermentation and aging, and prevented malolactic fermentation. This is simply a clean, crisp, delicious Chardonnay unfettered by toasty oak or buttery lactic acid flavors.
