A rich, full-bodied style of wine characterized by black cherry and raspberry. Extended aging in small French and American oak barrels softens the texture and adds complexity.

Flavorful grapes are hand and mechanically harvested in April and aged two months in stainless steel tanks. The color of the wine is a deep red with great intensity. On the nose, the wine shows delicious hints of plums and herbs. This Merlot reveals hints of chocolate and spice, while integrating perfectly with the dark fruit flavors. The wine is smooth with great structure. Food Pairing: Frontera Merlot is a delightful accompaniment to white meats, cheeses, and pasta dishes. Serve at room temperature.

The Crane Merlot is sourced from California and offers up palate-pleasing notes of black cherry, wildberry and plum. Each sip is medium-bodied and soft on the tongue, making this a terrific wine for parties, picnics, or quiet dinners at home.

Cultivate in the glass The Feast possesses high-toned and briary aromas of raspberry, black currant, and crushed violets. These notes are underpinned by savory tones of sandalwood, incense, and Asian spice. On the palate, The Feast is brawny and chewy, with a focused mid-palate and lengthy finish. The Feast is built around finished Merlot from the warm Alexander Valley in Sonoma. The wine is then fleshed out with Malbec from the Santa Lucia Highlands and textured with Cabernet from Napa Valley. Finally the addition of Syrah serves to focus and deepen the wine. This Right Bank-inspired blend was lightly fined and filtered, and bottled without additions or adjustments.

Cycles Gladiator dark burgundy red in color, the Cycles Gladiator Merlot is classic and approachable with gorgeous fruit and rich aromas of dark plum, toasty oak and caramel. The flavors are layered and beautifully structured, with cassis, dark chocolate, plum and black cherry, which unfold in the mid-palate, fanning out to solid yet well-integrated tannins that allow the wine a lingering, silky finish. This wine shines with an array of foods. Try it with rich duck confit, braised chicken with honey and five-spice, spicy lamb kabobs or your favorite burger!

Drawing fruit primarily from the Central Coast and Sonoma County, this Merlot is crafted to be boldly styled, fitting equally well on the dinner table as at a backyard barbecue. Showing primarily black and red berry fruit flavors, the wine has a creamy mouth feel. Complements grilled vegetables, risotto or pizza.

Lovely Merlot aromas of strawberry compote, plum and cherry wood are supported by hints of clove and cinnamon from the well-integrated oak. The final wine is a rich and cohesive expression of the entire Napa Valley, reflecting the varied microclimates and soils of this unique appellation.

Our Edna Valley Vineyard Merlot opens with aromas of cocoa powder, anise and black cherry, complemented by hints of leather and humidor. Fine tannins and a bright acidity create a rich, balanced mouthfeel.

Educated Guess the latest wine from Roots Run Deep Winery, Educated Guess Napa Valley Merlot comes from top vineyards in Yountville and Oak Knoll. A significant portion of this wine was barrel fermented which adds great texture, complexity, and weight to the wine. Select lots of grapes are chosen from our vineyards in Sonoma County to create this beautifully-balanced and full-bodied 2011 Ferrari-Carano Merlot. This is a velvety wine with a complex nose of blueberry pie, raspberry jam, cedar, vanilla and spice. A fleshy and generous mouthfeel is followed by notes of bittersweet chocolate, clove and toffee. This wine has full, generous tannins that coat the palate, impressive length and lasting acidity. Perfect Pairings: The fruit forward, easy drinking qualities of our Merlot make it the perfect wine to pair with any red meat course, Italian entrées, and roasted or grilled fragrantly-spiced poultry dishes.

A vibrant California Merlot, displaying luscious plum and red raspberry flavors. Sourced from the same core of Merlot grape-growers since premiere vintage in 1997. Our Merlot combines fruit from Napa, Sonoma and Monterey. The flavors and textures unique to each region harmonize perfectly to create a wine that has dark succulent fruit balanced by natural acidity. Intense aromatics of raspberry and blueberry lead to flavors of crushed berries, vanilla and leather, which are wrapped up in a soft, smooth tannin structure.

A rich, Sonoma County Merlot with succulent flavors of plum, blueberries and cocoa. Director’s Merlot is made primarily from Clones 3 and 9, selections that become intensely fruity as they ripen on the vine. Clone 3 grapes contribute traditional plum flavors and lushness while Clone 9 is dense, deeply colored, and more tannic. When we blend these Merlot selections together, we create a perfectly balanced wine, expressive on the palate and long on the finish. Our Director’s Merlot offers excellent body and a bold palate of blackberries, cherries, and currants layered with earthy spices, toasted wood, and a hint of vanilla. Well-toned tannins enhance the wine’s fine structure and a long finish adds to its allure.
