Aragone is a distinctive wine made in a region famous for Super-Tuscan blends with Bordeaux varieties. Intense ruby red with reflections of violet. The Sangiovese and Alicante contribute to the structure and complexity of the blend with spice and liquorice flavors. The Syrah and Carignan contribute a fresh dark berry component. The wine hints at a Southern Rhone style with black olive aromas, and ripe fruit recalls the depth of Spanish Priorat. GREAT WITH Game, steak and roasted meats.

La Posta purple-colored, it offers notes of cedar, spice box, pencil lead, blueberry, and black cherry. On the palate gamy notes emerge to accompany the sweet fruit. Easy-drinking and seamless.

Our Layer Cake Garnacha from Calatayud, Spain is rich and powerful, yet clean and balanced. Layered with aromas of ultra ripe black fruit. On the palate, the wine shows intense dark fruit with a background of rich dark chocolate and fresh ground coffee with a long creamy finish. The intensity of flavor from these ancient vines is beautifully offset by the great freshness from the high-altitude vineyards; the Layer Cake Garnacha is not to be overlooked.

Layer Cake with lots of pepper, roasted herbs, meat juices...this spicy wine has an inky ruby/purple color and lots of body. It comes across like a rustic Zinfandel, but with loads of character and personality displaying an almost savage intensity to its flavors. This is a wild, adventuresome wine. Bring on the pizza!

A yummy blend of two of the world’s most loved grapes, creating a deep red beauty from Australia. Aromas of raspberries, plums and spicy French oak lead to a medium bodied palate with generous plum and blackcurrant flavors with soft silky tannins. Luciano Sandrone from the climatic point of view, took us back to the Seventies with very rainy spring and summer which made the management of the vineyards decidedly difficult. Only thanks to the generous months of August, September and October the grapes were able to complete the ripening process in the best manner. The vintage undoubtedly rewarded the zones best suited to the cultivation of vines, and particularly those who invested in meticulous vine cultivation operations just at the right time.

Luigi Bosca Finca La Linda Malbec is an intense purple colour red wine with distinct aromas of cherries and spices, very typical from this variety. It is perceived in the mouth with a marked fruit intensity and a smooth texture that envelopes the palate. Balanced and matured tannins are perceived as a result of the three-month ageing in French and American oak casks. This varietal shows great typicity and modern profile, velvety, elegant, with a good structure and volume.

A blend of old vine Zinfandel, Petite-Syrah and Carignan, this top of the line Cuvee displays an exciting bouquet of blackberry, spicy pepper, and toasty oak. Robust and full-bodied, this highly extracted wine features flavors of black fruits, intermingled with spice.

Marietta we have been making Old Vine Red, our proprietary Zinfandel based blend, for over three decades now. We always feel like we hit amazing consistency in the blend, but it rarely falls right into place like it did with Lot 57. Aromas of juicy and bright red fruits (cherries, raspberries, etc) are packed next to fresh plums and black currants. Some complex layers of licorice, sweet earth, and spice follow in turn. A full and rich mouth feel leads to soft textured tannins and lingering fruit flavors. The acidity picks up just enough to bring the finsh home in a concise and clean fashion.

Martín Códax Rioja Ergo also made with Tempranillo, this wine walks the line between Old World restraint and New World fruit with its black cherry, mint, and chocolate aromas. Rich berry and cherry flavors have a gamey edge that will pair beautifully with steak, burgers, or lamb.
