  • Matchbook Tempranillo 750ML

    Matchbook the Tempranillo and Graciano vines grown in our Matchbook Vineyard in the Dunnigan Hills are from cuttings imported from the Pesquera region of Spain. While the traditional earthy and spicy flavors are evident from the old-world varietals, the Matchbook Tempranillo shows its California upbringing in the layers of dark berry and cherry flavors and hint of vanilla from oak aging.

  • Michael David Petite Petit 750ML

    Michael David like elephants whose size is imposing, Petite Petit is large! A blend of Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot, offering a joyous explosion of color and fun! It is a substantial, dense, full-bodied, whopper style of wine loaded with pure black fruit and vanilla flavors that coat the palate. It reveals remarkable richness with a finish that is slightly dry and seems to linger.

  • Milcampos Tempranillo 750ML

    A thick-skinned variety with a high anthocyanin count that makes for deep-colored wines with moderate tannins, Tempranillo is well suited to the demands of the modern wine consumer. While it lacks its own idiosyncratic flavor profile, the wide range of aromas detectable in Tempranillo-based wines gives it a charm in and of itself, with tasting notes ranging from strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries, to prunes, chocolate and tobacco. The former three notes typically come from younger examples from cooler climates, while the latter three develop with increased vineyard heat and age. Good with roasted red peppers stuffed with rice and morcilla blood sausage, Brazilian pork and bean stew (feijoada), roast lamb with redcurrant jelly.

  • Mirassou Sunset Red California 750ML

    The reddish-purple hues of the inaugural release of our red blend, Mirassou California Sunset Red, are reminiscent of a beautiful California sunset. As the Pinot Noir pioneers to California, we are paying tribute to this elegant grape that we introduced here more than a century ago by letting it take the lead in this blend. Its sophisticated flavors of pomegranate and dark cherry are well-complemented by Zinfandel’s spice notes and red fruit flavors. To enhance the features of both varieties while rounding out the mouthfeel, we added a touch of Merlot.

  • Montes Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon Carménère 750ML

    Montes beautiful, intense ruby-red color, with an elegant aroma of chocolate, cigar box and coffee, plus touches of vanilla and butterscotch. Medium-bodied, soft and generous, with a long aftertaste. Decanting is recommended at least 30 minutes before serving. It can be cellared for up to four years or enjoyed now.

  • Newton Napa Valley Claret 750ML

    Fresh red raspberry and ripe blackberry aromas are punctuated by layers of rich, earthy, herbal tones. On the palate, the same red, black and blueberry flavors are prominent—all wrapped in a pleasing structure and texture. Our Claret is a wine made for the table. It will complement a wide range of dishes, from grilled pork tenderloin with green olive tapenade to paella with shrimp. It will also shine with beef in all forms, from a pan-roasted filet to a braised pot roast.

  • Niepoort Ruby Port 750ML

    At Niepoort we believe that the colour of the Port should be inspired by the "ruby stone". Niepoort Ruby is fresh, young and fruity. An expressive Port with great character. Ruby keeps well for several years, although the wine will not improve with age. No decanting is necessary since the wine contains no sediment. The wine comes from low yielding old vineyards in the Cima Corgo Region of the Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in Lagares, prior to ageing in large wooden vats at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia and bottled with an average age of 3 years. Dark red in colour, with a fresh vibrant aroma of dark fruits which follows through on the palate along with a mineral character, a youthful wine with good extract and great balance, offering superb "drinkability".

  • Niepoort Tawny Port 750ML

    To produce a Port Wine with a fine and balanced flavour, Niepoort Tawny ages in oak casks for 3,5 years. Freshness, lightness and balance are the key elements of this wine. A Port easy to drink on any occasion. Tawny has a shiny bright colour and soft and sweet tannins. Tawny Port keeps well for several years, although the wine will not improve with age. It contains no sediment and does not neet to be decanted. Niepoort tawny, with an average age of three and a half years, originates from low yielding vineyards in the Cima corgo region of the Douro Valley. The grapes are predominantly trodden in lagares, prior to ageing in small old oak casks at our lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. Brick red/tawny in colour, with delicate nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits. On the palate, very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with a long spirity finish. A versatile wine, which goes well with chocolate desserts and can also be served slightly chilled as an aperitif or with pâtés or fois gras.

    Intense ruby, purple color with vibrant aromas of wild raspberry, mulberry, kirsch liqueur, lavender and cocoa with hints of licorice, white pepper, olive, toast and crushed stone. Rich, full and velvety textured, displaying layers of fruit and glycerol concentration that are both seductive, with a remarkable complexity while maintaining a balanced elegance. The opulent flavors persist on the palate, finishing supple and rounded with silky tannins and an undeniable crushed rock minerality.

    Orin Swift a dark red almost opaque color to the wine coats the glass and drifts down the sides slowly after the swirl.     Orin Swift revealing an attractive color spectrum of crimson and scarlet with a slight magenta band on the rim, the wine explodes with aromas of macerated raspberries, dried lavender, plum tart, and toasty oak accents. Detractors of this vintage be dammed, we dare to feel that 2009 Palmaz will be an exceptional wine to collect and a refreshing return to classic Napa Cabernet.

  • Pascual Toso Malbec 750ML

    Aside from this line of single-varietal wines, Pascual Toso produces some sparkling wines and a high-end line, Magdalena Toso, whose bottles are priced well above the cut-off for this guide. There’s also a Malbec rosé, whose color is a radioactive hot pink, not the pale salmon color one looks for in a rosé. We’ll stick with this repeat-winner Malbec—our blind tasters found it alternately fruity and earthy, and it’s easy to imagine drinking it with a juicy steak. Nose: One blind taster focused on its ripe, jammy fruit, while another found earth and tea leaves. Mouth: The fruit lingers into an impressively long finish.
