  • Elk Cove Mt. Richmond Pinot Noir 750ML

Elk Cove Vintage brings to mind some catchy phrases. The year of the birds - Hitchcock style, let 'em hang and our favorite, and slogan for the vintage - "Hang '10"! Yes, harvest was later than normal. An exceptional cold, wet spring followed by what many seasoned producers recall as one of the shortest summers. However, 2010 was not the worst of years. The 'attack of our feathered friends,' whose almost unprecedented assault on valley fruit, also indicated nature's signal that the fruit was ripe and grapes good indeed. Winemaker, Adam Campbell, comments in response to vintage nervousness, "you know, we have been doing this for almost 40 years, and it's not the first time we've had slow ripening. We're optimistic about it and we know exactly what to do." Even science agrees. Climatologists show similarities to the great 2008 vintage; reporting lower yields, small berries and full flavor development at lower brix levels - all signs pointing to high quality wines with lower alcohols.

  • EnRoute Les Pommiers Pinot Noir 750ML

Our grapes are farmed according to organic principles and minimally handled at the winery. The wine is deftly shaped with a subtle combination of new and once-used French oak barrels. • Failla Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir 750ML

Failla a change in ownership of this storied vineyard west of Philo offered us an entrée to the source of many Pinots we've admired over the years: Littorai, Peay, Radio Coteaux to name a few. We believe our inaugural vintage does its cousins proud. The nose seduces with ripe, dark fruits such as fig and black currant, underscored with hints of peppercorn and cured meat. A savory palate with great grip is rounded by elegant, fine tannins. Will age well for 7-10 years

  • Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 750ML

Failla this cuvée is a blend of young-vine blocks from Failla's multiple Sonoma Coast appellation sources. As always the winemaking method remains the same for the Sonoma Coast wines as the Vineyard Designates. Each of the lots were fermented separately and blended at bottling. Upon arriving to the winery, the fruit was destemmed and placed in open top fermenters and cold soaked for 5 days. Fermentation begins spontaneously with native yeasts and typically finishes in five days. Immediately following fermentation, the wine is barreled down by gravity. Roughly 15% new oak is used on each of the individual lots and aged sur-lie for 9 months. The balance of the Sonoma Coast blend was sourced from mainly younger vines from the following vineyards: Keefer Ranch, Hirsch, Floodgate, Failla Estate, Sonoma Stage, and Whistler.

  • Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Pinot Noir 750ML

A fruit-forward, lushly-textured Pinot Noir expressive of sunny days and cool Pacific nights. Grapes are harvested in early morning, crushed immediately and cold soaked for 48 hours, intensifying the color. This wine has an interesting story best told by our winemaker Corey Beck: “Our Diamond Collection Pinot Noir is sourced from a vineyard just east of the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey Country. This vineyard was originally planted with Merlot vines – however, after a few years of working with it, we realized its Bay-influenced cool temperatures and abundant afternoon sunshine created potential for producing great Pinot Noir. This inspired our first pre-plant contract with the grower in preparation for the wine’s introduction in 2001, well before the rise of Pinot Noir popularity. This long-standing relationship allows us to deliver exceptional Pinot Noir from a prime growing region.”
