    The vineyard is in the Carneros, and the grapes from this great vintage must have been just about perfect, to judge by the wine. It’s beautiful, rich and delicious, yet so finely balanced. Explodes in blackberry jam, cocoa puff and leather flavors, dusted with black pepper and finished with a swirl of toasted cedar wood.

  • K Vintners Clifton Syrah 750ML

    The Syrah Clifton Vineyard gives up loads of wood smoke, tobacco, olive and black currant, as well as medium to full-bodied richness, solid mid-palate depth and sweet tannin that emerges on the finish. It still has some oak to integrate, so give it a year in the cellar and enjoy bottles over the following 7 to 8 years.   • K Vintners The Hidden 750ML

    K Vintners our inaugural release of "The Hidden" Syrah. This co-ferment of four Syarh clones makes for one complex wine. 27 months in barrels and raring to go. It is gamey, bloody (think fresh meat) and has forest floor, anise and sassafras. If that is not enough, all of that is enclosed in a skin of wild blackberry. This wine is powerful and will age forever.

  • Kamiak Rock Lake Red 750ML

    Kamiak the interplay of three grapes come together in the 2012 Rock Lake Red to make an extraordinary wine. Aromas of raspberry, blackberry and black currant waft from the glass with just a hint of caramel tantalizing in the background. A soft, voluptuous entry leads into explosive fruit flavors and long lingering finish of spicy oak. The combined elements make the 2012 Rock Lake Red an excellent companion to a meal or enjoyable as an aperitif.

  • Layer Cake Shiraz 750ML

    Layer Cake the aromas of cocoa, warm spice and dark fruit are very powerful from the first whiff. In the mouth, the wine is layered with rich blackberry, dark cherries and hints of dark, creamy chocolate ganache. The finish lingers on, hanging on your palette while the fruit and spice flavors slowly change and fade. This vintage is classic Layer Cake Shiraz in all its glory.

  • Mas Belles Eaux Les Coteaux 750ML

    Mas Belles Eaux composed mostly of Syrah, the wine produces an explosion of red fruit (dark cherry), spice (pepper) and the wild herbs that are typical of the region. The very cosmopolitan Syrah is a grape variety with countless facets: depending on the terroir on which is it grown, the grape will reveal a number of very different expressions. In the terroir of Mas Belles Eaux, it adapts perfectly to the dense and deep red clay soils, and is also well suited to soils of silt, clay and sand.

  • Matchbook Syrah 750ML

    Matchbook the fragrance of mocha, chocolate and wild dark berries waft from the glass with background hints of leather, earthy baking spices and toasted oak. Juicy flavors of blackberries and chocolate truffles are enhanced by subtle notes of cardamom, cinnamon, and cocoa powder. This wine has bold flavors that integrate seamlessly with velvety smooth tannins. This Matchbook Syrah is polished, yet intensely bold and will pair nicely with the strong flavors of lamb, venison or prime rib topped with a dollop of blue cheese.

    Vibrant red purple. Aroma Spicy black pepper and dark plums dominate the lively nose. Balanced levels of fresh chocolate and graphite oak provides complexity and lift. Palate A fleshy, fruit driven wine with fruit flavours of rhubarb and black plums coupled with varietal spice. The wine has a fine, long tannin finish with judicious but balanced oak adding balance and length.

  • Michael David 6th Sense Syrah 750ML

    Michael David striking aromas of ripe dark fruits radiate from the glass in an earthy, smoky tobacco context. Full, rich fruit flavors of dark berries, whole plum, and blackcurrant fill the palate and hold their flavors through a long and smooth moderately peppery finish.

The deep dark colour of the wine matches the deep flavours of the wine. Boxer is rounded and full on the pallet and the perfect balance of tannins and fragrant oak support the impressive fruit. The Shiraz brings so much character and complexity in the Boxer will be applauded by all who drink it.

    Mouton Noir Horseshoes & Handgrenades is fruit-driven, full-bodied complex red blend sourced from Southern Oregon and Red Mountain Washington. The rich, ripe, voluptuous fruit is a blend of Syrah and Tempranillo from Oregon with just enough Washington Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the acclaimed Klipsun Vineyard to give it complexity and structure. Think cherry pits and leather whips!

  • Pedroncelli Friends Red Blend 750ML

    The color is a dark rich black cherry red. The nose is blackberry, vanilla, bitter chocolate, new leather coat and cold coffee. There is a velvety mouthfeel counterbalanced with fresh, tart fruit. It starts with cherry and raspberry, followed by blackberry dipped in Nestle Quik powder. The mid palate adds pomegranate and a touch of vanilla. The tannins are smooth and there is a solid amount of acidity. The finish starts out strong but fades.

  • Qupe Bien Nacido Vineyard Syrah 750ML

    Qupe wine is 100% syrah from Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. Cool climate Syrah from a cool vintage, the aromas are classic Bien Nacido with a pronounced earth and game aspect, spicy, peppery, clove, nutmeg, dried raspberry and just enough of that thyme and sage character that comes from the stems. is is a fairly big wine but with balanced alcohol of 13.5%. A bit more tannic than the last few vintages but with the fruit to back it up. Very enjoyable already (especially out of the half bottles), but could easily be put in the cellar for 10-15 years.

  • Qupe Maxtap Cuvee 750ML

    This is a wine that works well with foods that would normally be served with a rich red. With its soft tannins, plump fruit and spices this wine works well by itself as well. The aromas and flavors show nice berry fruit and dried cherry with hints of tobacco and wild herbs. This wine is not meant to take up cellar space but if you are so inclined should continue to age nicely for 5-8 years.

  • Renteria Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 750ML

    Bold aromas of leather, honeycomb, dried currants and black olives with a supple, fruity-yet-dry medium-full body and a polished chocolate, blackberry, cherry, and spice finish with light, dusty tannins. Very flavorful and stylish with fantastic food friendly acidity.

  • RoxyAnn Syrah 750ML

    RoxyAnn dark and juicy, this wine is polished and smooth with big, supple tannins behind a chewy mouthful of concentrated blackberry, cherry and white pepper accented with lavender blossoms and a gentle touch of spicy oak on the long, lingering finish.

  • Shinas The Executioner 750ML

    Color: a deep purple-red, almost opaque in the center. Aroma: plum, blackberry, and cassis dominate – you can just feel the Viognier trying to break through with some floral notes. There’s also some eucalyptus and mint in there as well. Taste: powerful stuff; while Cabernet led on the nose, the Shiraz is noticeable right off the bat on the palate. Big notes of spice, with some of the eucalyptus, then followed in the mid-palate by Cabernet fruit. The finish is still ripe and juicy; this has several more good years in the bottle. Even though it has a whopping 15% alcohol, it’s not hot at all. The finish has just a bit of tannin coming through.

  • Shinas The Guilty 750ML

    Shinas ripe shiny blackberry red. Voluptuous cherry, vanilla and peppery spice aromas and full-bodied flavours packed with smoky vanillin oak, cherry and strawberry fruits, chocolate and mocha all wrapped up in a big, rich, velvety smooth package. A juicy wine with fine tannins, the pepper detected on the nose kicks in again to make a welcome re-appearance on the powerful finish. Made from low yielding old vines dating back to 1898 and aged in older French oak, the fruit is sourced from Mildura on the north west Victorian border.

  • Stags' Leap Petite Sirah Napa Valley 750ML

    An elegant Petite Sirah, scented with the varietal’s signature trio of black fruit, floral and spicy characteristics. Fresh, juicy flavors of blackberry and blueberry are complemented by generous spice notes of clove and pepper with a subtle hint of rose petal. Refined and supple tannins balance the wine’s powerful palate, keeping this Petite Sirah particularly graceful.

  • Stellar Organics Shiraz 750ML

    This wine has a rich dark colour with a smoky and peppery nose. Dark fruit on the pallet, gives the wine a all-round juiciness. Oaky tannins give the wine a spicy finish with good structure.

  • The Crusher Petite Sirah 750ML

    Striking dark ruby hue in color. Aromas of wild strawberry, boysenberry, dates and a touch of black truffle leap from the glass. It is incredibly fragrant and bright, a stark contrast to harder-edged, heavier Petite Sirahs. Richly layered, you will experience flavors of wild berry jam and red grapefruit rounded out with secondary flavors of rich molasses and a touch of warm baking spice. Velvety, mouth-filling tannins guide this Petite Sirah to a faintly sweet finish. The bright fruit flavors of this wine are nicely balanced by its darker caramel like flavors and well-integrated oak.

  • The Federalist Dueling Pistols 750ML

    The Federalist color: Dark purple. Aroma: Dark fruits of blackberry and black cherry with black pepper and spice. Taste: Good entrance with a rich mouth feel and supple tannins.
