The "doctor" is Dr. Aloysius McGillicuddy "born" in the year 1808. The schnapps are results of the doctor's painstaking research through years of practice. According to the filing with the federal Tax and Trade Bureau the spirit is produced at the Buffalo Trace Distillery under the ownership of Sazerac.
