    L'Ecole No 41 perigee exemplifies this vineyard's characteristic cedary, black cherry, richly structured elegance. Vibrant aromas of baking spice, blueberry, plum and fresh floral notes are accented with earthy minerality, exuding power and grace on a chalky tannin finish.

  • La Capra Pinotage 750ML

    La Capra perfumed plums on the nose leading to ripe berries on the palate with a gentle texture and refreshing fruit acidity. Soft tannins and a hint of spice linger on the finish. Grapes were destalked and whole berry fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation the wine was matured in older French and American barrels for 10-12 months prior to blending and bottling.

  • La Crema Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 750ML

    Anderson Valley is just north of the Sonoma County border in Mendocino County. Although it earned its reputation originally for Zinfandel and floral white varietals, this relative newcomer to the Pinot Noir scene has emerged as a powerhouse, with a distinct flavor and structural profile that differentiates the wines from its neighbors to the south. Complex, small berries. Elegant blueberry, bright red cherry, aromatic tea, layered floral notes.

    The vintage opens with bright aromas of lemon zest, complemented by more subtle notes of honeysuckle, Asian pear and spice. The balanced, broad palate is layered with avors of ripe apricot, lemon drop and cantaloupe, with Monterey’s classic mineral undertones of wet river stone.

    La Crema extending from the Mendocino County border south along the western coastal edge of Sonoma County and east to Los Carneros, vineyards of the Sonoma Coast enjoy an unusually long, cool and steady growing season. And this vintage was exceptional from start to finish. fruit ripened slowly and evenly, developing beautiful concentration and lush character. We selected vineyards from cooler sites throughout the Sonoma Coast region to create a lush, layered blend. This release offers up vibrant red cherry, spice and coffee aromas that lead to a generous palage rich with brambly fruit flavors on a supple mouthfeel that lingers well into the back palate.

    "For our first Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, we chose a blend that we felt best displayed the classic elegance, focused acidity, earthiness and vibrant fruit of the Willamette Valley while honoring the La Crema style, which emphasizes balance and supple texture.     Aragone is a distinctive wine made in a region famous for Super-Tuscan blends with Bordeaux varieties. Intense ruby red with reflections of violet. The Sangiovese and Alicante contribute to the structure and complexity of the blend with spice and liquorice flavors. The Syrah and Carignan contribute a fresh dark berry component. The wine hints at a Southern Rhone style with black olive aromas, and ripe fruit recalls the depth of Spanish Priorat. GREAT WITH Game, steak and roasted meats.

  • La Valentina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Bellovedere 750ML

    La Valentina Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Bellovedere is hugely impressive. The blackest, sweetest of cherries, licorice, melted road tar and spices are some of the notes that burst from the glass in this opulent, full-bodied wine. Despite the Bellovedere's sheer exuberance and glycerin, there is plenty of underlying minerality to give the wine its sense of energy, purity and vibrancy. This is an unquestionably full throttle style, but it all works beautifully. I especially like the way the wine continues to open up in the glass, seemingly turning more vibrant with air. Sweet spice and cloves flesh out on the generous, inviting finish. There is so much to like here.

  • Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch 16 year old 750ML

    A much sought-after single malt with the massive peat-smoke that's typical of southern Islay - but also offering richness and a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting dram. The 16 year old has become a benchmark Islay dram from the Lagavulin distillery. Nose: more like Lapsang Souchong tea than Lapsang Souchong! One of the smokiest noses from Islay. It's big, very, very concentrated, and redolent of iodine, sweet spices, good, mature sherry and creamy vanilla. Stunning. Palate: very thick and rich. A massive mouthful of malt and sherry with good fruity sweetness, but also a wonderful sweetness. Big, powerful peat and oak. Finish: long, spicy finish, figs, dates, peat smoke, vanilla.
