WINE

Scharffenberger the wine is two-thirds Pinot Noir which produces a red fruit (cherry and plum) forward nose combined with one-third Chardonnay which adds the tropical expression of lychee nut and mango. The 100% malolactic fermentation adds a vanilla cream character producing a round and full-bodied wine. After approximately two years on the yeast lees, there are notes of freshly baked bread and pastry that enhances the more fruit forward style of the wine. Finally, after several months on the cork the wine develops caramel and hazel complexors.

Schmitt Sohne this is a red varietal wine from the Rheinhessen region bordered on the west by the Nahe River and on the east by the Rhine River. It offers intense fruit aromas of black cherries and plums with a hint of tobacco. This is a full to medium-bodied young wine with excellent up-front fruit that lingers on the palate. Enjoy by itself, with salads, fish, lamb and red meat.

A light-bodied, balanced Pinot Noir with bright red cherry and strawberry flavors. Beautifully balanced with vibrant acidity, it's the ideal complement for earthy mushrooms, grilled salmon or lamb.

A refreshing, crisp Sauvignon Blanc with pronounced aromas of lemon, lime, grapefruit and fresh cut grass followed by flavors of gooseberry and tangerine notes. The acidity is mouthwatering and zingy and is followed by a lightly tart finish.

Sean Minor our Central Coast Chardonnay is a golden straw color and displays aromas of white peach, pears and tropical nuances with subtle notes of butter. On the entry, pear, pineapple and green apple flavors are framed by nice acidity which integrates well with the medium body mouth feel. Those same fruit flavors evolve into a hint of minerality that adds complexity to the lengthy finish.

Our Central Coast Pinot Noir displays aromas of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry fruit with a hint of earthy notes. On the palate, the Pinot offers bright flavors of strawberry and cherry combined with hints of tobacco. The bright acidity combined with sweet oak results in a lingering finish.

Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep ruby color with aromas of ripe blackberry, red and black currants. Once in your mouth, flavors of blackberries and ripe plum fill the mid-palate, entwined with black currant, mocha and black pepper, providing for a full-bodied and rich wine experience. The soft tannins and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering finish.

Our Carneros Pinot Noir is medium-bodied with cherry, strawberry and plum nuances; surrounded by light toast flavors. On entry, the wine displays bright cherry and berry flavors with earthy and sweet oak notes throughout the mid-palate. The spicy finish lingers on the palate framed by fresh fruit and silky round tannins.

Our Sonoma County Cabernet is dark garnet in color with lovely aromatics that range from dried herbs, tea and black cherry to coconut, vanilla and cocoa powder. The flavors are typical of cooler climate Cabernets including black currants, red licorice, earl grey tea and toasty oak. This medium-bodied wine closes with well rounded tannins and a long lasting finish. - Mark R. Lyon, Winemaker. Our Pinor Noir bears all the hallmarks of a cool climate, cool vintage. It is medium to dark garnet in color with bright aromas of cherry pie, strawberries, camphor oil and roasted oak. The palate is layered with notes of cherries, sandalwood, spice, “forest floor” and lingering flavors of roasted coffee and caramel. It finishes with silky tannins and energetic acidity. This is the perfect accompaniment to any meat or light fish dish and is also great enjoyed on its own. - Mark R. Lyon, Winemaker.
